Aqua Trojans Secure Playoff Spot for Third Consecutive Year

South Houston, TX – A big congratulations to the South Houston Swimming and Diving Team for their outstanding performance at the UIL District 22-6A Varsity Championships held last Friday at the Shippey Aquatic Center. This marks the third straight year that the Aqua Trojans have qualified for the Region 6-6A Championships, set to take place this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Team Achievements at District Championships

The girls’ team secured a fifth-place finish, while the boys’ team earned fourth place in a highly competitive meet.

Girls Division

  • Giselle Hernandez (Freshman)7th place, 50 Freestyle

Boys Division

  • Andres Cruz (Junior)2nd place, 200 Individual Medley

Looking Ahead to Regionals

With their strong district performance, the team is now preparing for the Region 6-6A Championships later this week. The swimmers and divers will be looking to build on their success and make a mark at the regional level.
