Anahuac, TX – After 22 years in business, Annette De Leon, owner of Cowgirl Divas Boutique, is passing the torch to her daughter-in-law, Alisha De Leon. With this transition, the boutique will reopen as Dimples and Dirt, bringing a fresh vision and expanded collection to the store.
A New Chapter: Dimples and Dirt Expands
Alisha, who previously owned Dimples and Dirt in Mount Belvieu, specialized in children’s clothing. Wanting to expand her collection, she and Annette decided to move Dimples and Dirt to the Cowgirl Divas location, offering a larger space and an even broader selection.
With a deep-rooted passion for fashion and boutique retail, Alisha is excited to take on this new venture and continue building strong relationships with her customers.
Alisha’s Journey into Boutique Ownership
Having worked in a boutique for four years, Alisha discovered her love for styling, selecting pieces, and creating visually appealing displays. She enjoys curating perfect color combinations and materials to attract customers and create an inviting shopping experience.
One of her favorite aspects of the job is planning for upcoming fashion trends. She carefully selects pieces months in advance, ensuring her customers have access to the latest styles.
“It’s kind of like a sneak peek into the future, and that’s always interesting to see,” Alisha said.
A Day in the Life at Dimples and Dirt
Running a boutique is no small task. Alisha’s daily routine includes:
Prepping displays – Arranging tables and mannequins to keep the store fresh and engaging.
Helping customers – Providing personalized shopping experiences.
Fulfilling online orders – Serving both local and non-local buyers.
Managing social media – Creating engaging content for TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.
She takes pride in capturing her boutique’s style and aesthetic, ensuring that her social media presence reflects the brand’s personality.
A Passion for Fashion and Personal Style
Alisha’s love for fashion started in high school, where she enjoyed adding her own unique twists to outfits. Over time, this passion grew into a career.
“That’s when I started to take the time accessorizing my own outfits and looking at different things. Now, it’s become a bigger thing for me as a boutique owner,” she said.
Building Customer Relationships and a Bright Future
For Alisha, owning a boutique is about more than just fashion—it’s about building connections. Seeing her customers return and support her business over the years is one of the most rewarding aspects of her work.
“Being in their life for many years, even if it’s just through them buying an outfit, it’s still them supporting me too,” she said.
Looking ahead, Alisha plans to expand Dimples and Dirt beyond children’s clothing, offering women’s wear to cater to a wider audience. Her goal is to ensure that every customer finds something special and leaves with a new outfit and a smile.
