After multiple rounds of working sessions and meetings, the governing body of the City of Sunrise Beach Village has approved a Municipal Solid Waste Ordinance and a city-wide contract with Waste Connections to provide trash, garbage collection, and recycling services. This is a wonderful development for our city. It means affordable and expanded services that many of you have been asking for. Collection services will begin on January 3, 2023.
Your governing body has worked hard to bring this new service to our community. And, while it may not suit everyone’s specific wish, we believe it delivers great benefit for our residents and community, and we are eager to see it come to fruition. In the meantime, we encourage all residents and owners to support the city staff as they work toward a successful implementation.
