The Pasadena Playhouse is set to launch three exciting theater camps for Summer 2025, marking the second year of its Education Programs, which will serve over 250 students. These camps offer young performers a fun and immersive experience, whether they are beginners or experienced in musical theater.
Summer 2025 Theater Camp Offerings
- Playhouse Players: Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR. (Ages 7-12)
- Playhouse Players: 13 JR. (Ages 11-15)
- Musical Theater Boot Camp (Ages 14-18, must have completed one year of high school)
No prior experience or auditions are required for the Playhouse Players camps, while the Musical Theater Boot Camp does require auditions.

About the Camp
This two-week summer camp is perfect for young theatermakers eager to act, sing, and dance while building confidence and teamwork skills. The camp culminates in a final performance of Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR., a magical story about Ariel’s journey to find her place in the human world.

With a rock-style score by Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, 13 JR. tells the relatable story of Evan Goldman, a preteen navigating the challenges of moving to a new town and fitting in. This camp is perfect for young performers looking to develop their acting, singing, and stage presence while having fun.
Musical Theater Boot Camp (Ages 14-18, must have completed at least one year of high school)

- Time: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday – Friday)
- Location: Carrie Hamilton Theatre at The Pasadena Playhouse
- Tuition: $1070 (including fees)

The Musical Theater Boot Camp is designed for serious young performers looking to refine their skills in acting, singing, and dancing. Participants will:
Develop audition techniques
Build a repertoire of songs and monologues
Work with industry professionals and guest artists

The camp concludes with a “workshare” showcase performance for family and friends.
