Variance Process – an abstract

If your application for a Development Permit has been denied by the responsible officials of Sunrise Beach Village you have the right to appeal that decision, under the provisions of the referenced Ordinance, to the City’s Board of Adjustments.

To begin this process you must submit a letter addressed to the Chairman of the SRBV Board of Adjustments, 124 Sunrise Drive, Sunrise Beach, Texas 78643, describing the specific grounds on which you are requesting relief.

Following receipt of this letter and payment of the $200.00 fee this Board will fix and give public notice of the date and time of a Hearing to be held for consideration of your appeal.

Any party to your appeal may appear in person or may be represented by a duly appointed agent.

The board will render its decision based on the information reviewed at this Hearing.

The $200.00 fee is applied to defray the costs of this Hearing and is non-refundable regardless of the outcome.

Please note that this “abstract” does not, in any way, modify the referenced Ordinance but is intended only to provide a brief explanation of the Appeals Procedure.
