The AIRPORT OF SUNRISE BEACH VILLAGE, TEXAS was deeded to the City by the developer for this specific use of the land.
It is administered by a three-member Airport Commission created by Ordinance No. 80 on March 19, 1985. Bill Daly is the current Chairman of this Commission.

The airport is used by pilots whose residence is in Sunrise Beach, and by others who reside elsewhere, but fly to lake homes in Sunrise Beach. Tourists may also fly in.
